"Touching the sky, brushing the clouds, materializing the immaterial…  the colour becomes a tactile area. All shades of a sunset are mixed by hand. The color’s gradients are grazed, the contrasts rubbed, the grain of the canvas massaged by my hands.  They get dirty and imprint on its surface.  Hasta el cielo refers to the nebulous and immensity of the sky,  to Joseph Turner ‘s fog trips.  A moment that sneezes in color. These are prehistoric sunsets. We are back to the cavernous paintings."

Luis Tomasello's work is part of a formal abstract research around the square in Malevitch's filiation. He introduced in 1958 real volumes in painting by fixing small geometric elements on the surface of the canvas. ""The rule for me is to do the maximum with the minimum. With just one element and its repetition, there are many other things. So with a cube, its orientation, its color, with this one element, everything becomes a world. " (words by Luis Tomasello)

Alexis Hayere awarded by the Foundation Emerige.

"Alexis Hayère's productions cannot have any purpose whatsoever representation of reality. They rely on the real itself in order to trigger a dynamic creative that seems to break down into two sides.  Some creations come under pictoriality, by proposing flat surfaces affixed to the wall, as would painting works. Resolutely abstract and geometric, these compositions adopt exploded physiognomies, sometimes convulsive, in developing a screening punctuated by lines white intersecting on black backgrounds"

In Véra Molnar's words : "A lot of my work is often done by the computer. But if has some value, or if, on the contrary, it has none, the machine is in no way responsible. The computer, however amazing, is for the moment only one tool that frees the painter from the gravity of a classic sclerotic heritage. Its immense combinatorial capacity facilitates the systematic investigation of the field's endless possibilities. Painting is the management of geometric elements to be placed on a flat surface in a certain way, to achieve the beautiful and the awesome. The question is to know how to choose these elements so that they cause aesthetic pleasure. There is no obstacle in producing natural to the artificial."

" The encounter with artists such as soto, Cruz-Diez, Camargo, Le Parc, Lygia Clark, etc., created a conflict in me, which took me to a contradiction of my previous work. Later I understood that the situation was a possible exit to a new way of seeing, to a new experience. Nevertheless, it is good to say that in my work method is closer to a gestural painter than to a constructivist or kinetic artist. "

Annette Turrillo

Dharma II

120 x 120 cm (47 x 47 in)

Acrylic on canvas, thread, wooden beads

2020

11.000€

Annette Turrillo's artistic approach is centered on themes linked to reflection and introspection, as well as to the human condition. Her main focus is on poetics and spirituality in art.

In her works, painting and installations, she does not seek to create a literal structure, but rather to shape a metaphysical energy in its relation to human perception. These images become a metaphorical and symbolic language that reveals the presence of a deep humanity. These metaphysical qualities are expressed in subtle, minimalist creations, effusive and delicate images, sometimes it introduces a thread and pearls which represents the journey of life, emphasizing interpretative understanding.

The luminosity of his works exalts beauty as a symbol of life, love and the embodiment of the deep nature of man.
