The Dischi a rotazione apparente are an object born in 1966, after Chiggio encountered Marcel Duchamp's Rotorelief, seen for the first time during the visit to the exhibition of multiplied objects MAT at the Danish Gallery in Milan, early sixties. It is made with airbrushed plexiglass sheets (with the same process used for the creation of linear interferences), and edited as and when until creating a sort of stereometry that the observer, in front of the work, perceives in all its mutability and instability.
